Buff Butlers in Ripon
Buff Boyz sends a buff butler to hen parties, birthdays and private events in Ripon and the countryside around it. He is a butler in the buff who hosts in a front-covering apron worn over bare skin, with a collar, cuffs and a bow tie.
For a minimum of two hours he pours, serves, runs the games and keeps the group together. Full nudity is not part of the service. Prices start from £170 for one butler for two hours, with travel added from your event address.

What your butler does, and what you provide
The booking is two hours of hosting, not a strip show or choreographed routine. During it, your butler:
- welcomes guests and hands out the first drinks
- tops up glasses and passes round food you have prepared
- runs party games built around the hen or guest of honour
- poses for photos, with his agreement
- draws quieter guests in so the room stays as one party
What is not included
The fee covers the butler and his hosting. Your group supplies the drinks, food, glassware and ice, so have them chilled and together before he arrives. Mention any games or props of your own when you enquire.
He arrives before the booked start and changes privately, so preparation does not reduce your two hours. The outfit stays the same; you shape the pace, games and tone. Longer bookings can be quoted.
Is a butler the right fit for your group?
A butler suits a group that wants a host rather than an act: drinks before heading into the city, a birthday afternoon, a hen day at a holiday cottage or a ladies’ night at home. There is no minimum number of guests.
It is not suitable if anyone under 18 will be in the property while he is there, even in another room. One butler is the standard booking. If your group is large or spread across several rooms, a second butler may be quoted separately.

£170 is the lowest price, not a fixed total. A village address or peak Saturday may cost more once travel and date are included. If your event details stay the same, the total in your written quote is what you pay.
Rules for guests and venues
- No touching. Guests do not make physical contact with the entertainer.
- Photos. Photographs are welcome with the entertainer’s agreement.
- Over-18s only. Everyone present at the property must be 18 or over.
- Permission. Holiday lets, glamping sites, hotels and hired rooms must approve outside entertainment before you book.
- Changing room. He needs a private room or bathroom away from guests.
Buff Boyz holds public liability insurance, with documentation available to venues on request.
Planning a party in and around Ripon
Ripon is the smallest city in Yorkshire by population, and the practical questions here are about access and venues rather than nightlife.
Guests without cars
Ripon has had no railway station since 1967. Guests arriving by train normally use Thirsk, Harrogate or Knaresborough and complete the journey by taxi or bus. Set the butler’s start time around the last expected arrival.
Rural venues set their own rules
West of the city, venues include farms, barns and glamping sites. Little Seed Field, between Ripon and Pateley Bridge, states that it is reached by private transport and agrees a noise plan with hirers. Before paying a deposit, ask:
- Are outside entertainers allowed?
- Does the noise plan cover music and party games?
- Is there a private changing room?

Working around 9pm
Every night at 9pm, a Ripon hornblower sets the watch at the Market Place obelisk. If your group wants to watch, arrange the booking to finish before nine or start after everyone returns.

Life drawing splits into 45 minutes of drawing and 45 minutes of hosting, with materials supplied. The cocktail class is £38 per person with a clothed mixologist or £45 per person with a buff butler host; each guest makes three cocktails.

Cancellation and refund policy
This summarises the Buff Boyz Terms and Conditions, which take precedence. If you cancel, the £20 deposit is non-refundable.

The balance is the booking price minus the deposit. A change request made less than 14 days before the event may be treated as a cancellation. If Buff Boyz cancels, you can choose a replacement entertainer, a new date or a full refund including the deposit.
