Buff Boyz FAQs

What can my butler(s) do?

Your buff Butlers, bartender and/or waiter is there to be a fun and friendly host at your event. They’ll be happy to greet guests at the door, serve food and drinks, mix cocktails, mingle with guests, host party games, pamper the guest of honour, pose for a life drawing session, and generally make the event memorable for all the right reasons.

At some events, our butlers have escorted guest speakers on to the stage, helped with fundraising or modelled promotional items – the choice is yours.

Can my Buff Butlers play party games?

Absolutely! Our butlers will get everyone joining in with party games and playing along themselves. If you’re stuck for ideas, they’ll have some crowd-pleasing suggestions.

What games might my butler suggest?

At the time of booking, we’ll have a chat with you about your event and your guests. Some people like gentle ice-breakers while others are up for games that are a bit cheekier.

Whether it’s creating toilet paper wedding dresses for your butler or finding the sticky plaster stuck on him while you’re blindfolded, your guests are sure to have an amazing time.

Can my butlers make cocktails?

Yes, just let us know in advance if you want our cocktail making lessons. This way your butler(s) can bring along everything they need to shake, stir and mix up your favourite drinks.

Can my butler be a surprise?

Yes, we’re happy to help with surprising your guests. We’ll need a point of contact (usually whoever makes the booking). They will usually call their point of contact 15 minutes before arriving as well so that they don’t show up unannounced.


Booking A Buff Butler FAQs

Can I book a buff butler for an hour?

Yes, we do accept 1-hour bookings.

Can I book more than one butler?

Yes, of course – the more, the merrier!

There’s no limit on the number of buff butlers you can book for your event at BuffBoyz. Just let us know how many you need at the time of booking. If you’re not sure how many butlers would be best, we’re happy to have a chat with you to help you plan.

We usually recommend one butler per 12-15 guests but it depends on what you’d like them to do. For example, if you want someone serving drinks and food, you may want a second butler to greet your guests at the door.

Can I get an instant quote?

Yes, you can. Simply click on the Get A Quote and fill out all the required information. You can also fill out our fuss-free form and a member of the bookings team will get in touch by email with more information.

How do I book?

As we’ve mentioned above, you’re welcome to either use our quick quote booking system or give us a call on 0330 1330 297.

Once you’ve confirmed that the quote covers all your needs and you’re happy to book, we’ll take a non-refundable deposit of £30

You’ll then receive an email confirming the date, time and details of your booking.

One week before your event, you’ll need to pay the outstanding amount for your booking. We’ll remind you that this is due and check-in with you to make sure that all of the details we have are still correct.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We are highly sought after for various events, hence we recommend making a booking four to six weeks before your event but we’ll make every effort to accommodate bookings with shorter notice if we’re able to. If you have an event coming up soon, give us a call on 0330 1330 297 and we’ll do everything we can to help.

When do I need to pay for my deposit?

We only accept payment debit or credit card payment.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes. Ideally, try to let us know about any changes to your requirements a week or more before your event so that we have time to accommodate your needs.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

The £30 deposit is non-refundable. However, we may be able to carry it forward to a future booking if you want to postpone instead of cancel.

If you cancel more than seven days in advance of your event, any money paid beyond the deposit will be returned to you in full. If you cancel within a week of your event, no refund will be offered.

We will give you a copy of our complete terms and conditions when you make a booking.

How do I know you will honour my booking?

Our reputation is important to us. Many bookings come from word of mouth recommendations so it matters to us that you’re happy and that we’re known for being trustworthy and reliable.

We’ll be in touch a week before your event to confirm your booking and requirements and who your butler(s) will be.

Your butler will also get in touch on the day of the event to confirm their arrival, etc.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to honour your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we would notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund.

To date, we have never missed a booking.


On the day FAQs

When will the butler arrive?

Our butlers aim to arrive approximately 15 minutes early so they have time to get changed and chat to you about what you’d like them to do. They’ll give you a courtesy call before they arrive to confirm when and where they need to be (and make sure they don’t ruin any surprises).

Will the butler need somewhere to get changed?

Yes, please. Your butler(s) will turn up to the event venue smartly dressed and well-presented and will need somewhere private to change into their uniform. Please also provide somewhere secure for them to leave their belongings.

What will the butler wear?

Our butlers usually will wear a gold bow tie and bottom-revealing black apron. Just let us know if you’d prefer to leave a little bit more to the imagination and your butler will be happy to wear black boxers or smart trousers.

Do I need to provide anything?

Not at all. Just tell us what you’d like your butler to do and we’ll make sure he comes prepared. If you’re stuck for party game ideas, we can make suggestions and send your butler with all the right props. Nothing is too much trouble.

My party is themed – can I accessorise my buff butler?

Feel free. If your event has a theme and you want your butler to wear something specific, just let us know at the time of booking.

Is it OK to touch a buff butler?

It depends on the kind of touch! Your butler will be happy to pose for photos and play party games that might include some touch, e.g. blindfolded guests sticking plasters on him, but we ask that touching is appropriate and respectful.

You’re welcome to put your arm around your butler for photos or even ask him to lift you up. If you’re unsure, you can always ask a Buff Boyz butler what they’re comfortable with.

Is it OK to take photos of the Butler?

Yes! Take as many photos as you want of the naked butler and your guests. We’d love it if you would send us some pics to use on our website.

Is it OK to tip a butler?

It’s not expected but tips are appreciated.

Can my butler stay on at my party?

We know that time can fly by at a party and you may want to extend your butler’s hours once the event gets into full swing. You’re welcome to ask your butler if they can stay for longer for an additional fee. This will be at the butler’s discretion as they may already have plans for the time outside of your original booking.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we hold public liability insurance, a copy of which can be provided on request.

How are the Buff Boyz chosen?

Every one of our naked butlers has been interviewed in person and selected by our dedicated recruitment team. Basic DBS checks have been carried out for all butlers and they are chosen for their fun, friendly and professional personalities.

These are guys who not only take care of themselves but also enjoy taking care of their guests and making sure everyone has the best time possible in their company.
