Service Overview
What Is a Buff Butler?
A buff butler is a professionally trained male entertainer who serves your guests — drinks, canapés, party games and photo moments — while dressed in signature minimal attire. The result is a hosting experience that is equal parts polished and playful, without anything crude or uncomfortable.
Every Buff Boyz butler is selected through a multi-stage vetting process that assesses presentation, people skills and suitability for a range of event types. Before working events independently, they complete an in-house training programme covering service standards, guest interaction and professional conduct. This isn’t casual entertainment — it’s a managed hospitality service.
Butler Outfit
What Do the Butlers Wear?
The outfit is minimal but intentional — designed to keep things fun and photogenic while staying tasteful:
✓
Bow tie
✓
Collar and cuffs
✓
Small apron
That’s it. The look is cheeky enough to get a reaction, refined enough to suit any venue.
Event Hosting
What Happens When You Hire a Buff Butler in Macclesfield?
Your butler manages the atmosphere from arrival to the final toast, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s included as standard:
Drinks and Canapé Service
Professional tableside service throughout the event — no juggling trays yourself, no guests left waiting.
Hosting Party Games
Our butlers run games and activities that keep energy high and guests engaged. Whether you have something specific in mind or want them to lead, they’ll adapt to your group.
Photo Opportunities
Posing with guests is all part of the job. Expect plenty of memorable shots — and a camera roll everyone will be talking about after.
Package Clarity
What’s Included, and What Isn’t
Buff butler hire is a hosting and service experience. Here’s exactly what your booking covers, so there are no surprises on the day:
Guest Greeting
Your butler welcomes guests on arrival and sets the tone.
Drinks and Canapé Service
Tableside service of the food and drink you provide.
Hosted Party Games
Games and activities led and adapted to your group.
Photo Opportunities
Posing with guests throughout the event.
Dedicated Event Manager

Not Included
Stripping or Full Nudity
Butlers stay in their bow tie, collar, cuffs and apron throughout. For a striptease performance, see our male strippers in Macclesfield service instead.
Food and Drink Supply
Your butler serves what you provide. If you’d like the drinks handled for you, add a mobile cocktail making class in Macclesfield.
Venue Hire
The service is mobile and comes to your chosen venue; you arrange the space itself.
Event Suitability
Who Is This Service Suited For?
Buff butler hire works brilliantly for:
Hen Parties
Our most frequently booked event type, ideal for drinks service, games, photos and a fun surprise for the bride-to-be.
Milestone Birthdays
A memorable choice for 30ths, 40ths, 50ths and beyond, especially where you want a hosted experience rather than just background entertainment.
Private Dinner Parties
Something a bit different for a seated occasion, with your butler serving drinks, helping with food and keeping the atmosphere relaxed.
Corporate Events
Suitable where a memorable, professionally managed experience is the brief and the tone needs to be agreed carefully in advance.
If your guest list includes people with different comfort levels, we discuss tone and style with you before the event. Our event manager will ask the right questions upfront so the butler’s approach matches your group — not a generic template.
Professional Standards
Conduct, Boundaries and Your Comfort
Buff butler hire is adult entertainment for guests aged 18 and over, delivered to a clear professional standard. The tone is cheeky and light-hearted, never crude, and your butler keeps things respectful throughout.
✓
The performance and interaction style are agreed with you in advance, so the approach suits your group.
✓
Butlers remain professionally dressed in their signature attire for the whole booking.
✓
Guests are never put on the spot; participation in games and photos is always optional.
✓
Bookings are for over-18s only, and your butler will keep the event within those boundaries.
Local Planning Context
Why Macclesfield Works Well for Events
Macclesfield suits buff butler hire because the experience comes to you, and the town has the kind of private spaces hosted events need. Sitting on the eastern edge of Cheshire where the county meets the Peak District, it offers everything from town-centre apartments and period townhouses to self-catering cottages and larger group rentals just outside town — all well suited to a butler arriving to host, serve and run games without you booking a public venue.
Travel works in your favour too. Macclesfield has a direct rail line into Manchester in under half an hour and sits on the main Manchester–London route, so guests joining from Manchester, Stockport and Wilmslow can reach a town-centre venue easily, and friends travelling from further afield aren’t faced with a long drive.
Groups also gather here from the surrounding Cheshire towns and villages, including Bollington, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Knutsford and Congleton. For hen weekends and milestone birthdays in particular, the mix of group accommodation in and around the town makes it straightforward to base everyone together and bring the entertainment to the house — which is exactly how buff butler hire is designed to work.

Common Booking Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a buff butler cost in Macclesfield?
Buff butler hire in Macclesfield starts from £170 for one butler for two hours, with a £20 non-refundable deposit to secure your date. Your exact price depends on guest numbers, duration and travel, so request an instant quote for a tailored figure.
Do you cover hen parties in Macclesfield?
Yes. Hen parties are our most frequently booked event type in Macclesfield and across Cheshire, and the service comes to your chosen venue.
What does a buff butler wear?
A buff butler wears a bow tie, collar and cuffs, and a small apron — cheeky but tasteful, and suitable for private venues.
How far in advance should I book?
At least 2–4 weeks ahead is recommended. For peak weekend dates in spring and summer, booking 4–6 weeks out gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date and butler.
Is this service appropriate for all event types?
Yes. Packages are adapted in tone and style for each event. A corporate function is handled differently from a hen night, and we ask about your group during the booking process so the approach is right for your guests.
How many butlers should I book?
One butler covers 10–15 guests comfortably. For larger groups, two butlers are recommended to improve service speed and keep energy high across the room. We’ll advise based on your numbers.
Are your butlers professionally trained?
Yes. Every butler completes an in-house training programme before working any Buff Boyz event. This covers service standards, guest interaction, and how to handle different group dynamics appropriately.
Do you hold public liability insurance?
Yes. Buff Boyz carries public liability insurance as standard on all bookings. Documentation is available on request.
What is your cancellation policy?
A £20 non-refundable deposit secures your date. Beyond that, you receive a full refund of any balance paid for more than 30 days’ notice, a 50% refund for 14–30 days, and no refund within 14 days. Full terms are provided at the point of booking and on our Terms and Conditions page.
Do you cover areas outside Macclesfield?
