What Is a Mobile Cocktail Making Class?
It is a private cocktail class delivered at your venue instead of at a bar.
A Buff Boyz host arrives with a full portable kit — spirits, mixers, fresh ingredients, glassware, ice and bar equipment — sets up on a table or worktop, and teaches the group how to build three cocktails.
Guests Make the Drinks
This is not drinks service. Guests do the shaking, muddling, straining, building and garnishing themselves.
The Host Demonstrates First
The host demonstrates each drink first, then talks the group through making their own.
Not Bartender Hire
It also differs from hiring a bartender or a drinks supplier. Those services pour for you. This one teaches you.
Session Format
What Happens During the Two Hours?
The session runs in six stages, from setup through to pack-down.
- Arrival and Setup Your host normally arrives around 15 minutes before the agreed start time to set up the cocktail station. Setup and pack-down sit outside your two booked hours, so you get the full session. If your venue needs a different access arrangement, we confirm it before the day.
- Welcome and Menu Choice The group picks three cocktails together from the Buff Boyz menu.
- Demonstration The host makes the first cocktail in front of the group, explaining the technique, the balance of the drink and how the garnish is prepared.
- Hands-on Rounds Guests make each drink themselves, one round at a time, with the host moving around the group to help.
- Games Between Rounds Light, optional party games keep the pace up between cocktails. Guests who would rather sit a game out are never put on the spot.
- Pack-Down The host clears the station and takes everything away, including leftover ingredients and equipment.
Cocktail Menu
A fixed start time helps guests travelling from different areas plan their arrival, and gives the whole group the benefit of all three cocktail rounds.

The class suits adult groups of 10 or more who want a structured activity with something to do, rather than a night that depends on finding a table somewhere.
Hen Parties
The most common booking. It works well early in a hen weekend because it gets a group of people who may not all know each other talking and doing something together before anyone heads out.
The buff butler host option adds the cheeky element many hen groups are after; the clothed mixologist option keeps it as a straight cocktail class.
Birthdays and Milestone Celebrations
Suitable for adult birthday celebrations, including 18th birthdays, provided every person attending is already aged 18 or over.
It is equally popular for 30ths, 40ths and 50ths.
Private Parties and Team Socials
Suitable for house parties, group get-togethers and workplace socials.
For work events, the clothed mixologist option is usually the more comfortable choice — the class content is identical, only the host's presentation changes.

Clothed Mixologist
A host in smart bartender attire. Straightforward, professional cocktail instruction.
Buff Butler Host
The same class, hosted by a buff butler wearing the standard Buff Boyz outfit: apron, collar, cuffs and bow tie.
In both cases the host is also the instructor. One person sets up, demonstrates, teaches and packs down — we do not send a separate butler and mixologist.
Clear boundaries apply to both options. There is no stripping and no nudity in a cocktail class. Physical contact that has not been explicitly agreed is not permitted, and our entertainers can end a booking without refund if a guest behaves inappropriately. A venue works for this class if it has a clear worktop, room for the group around it and permission from whoever owns the property.
Space and Facilities

- A sink within reach of the activity space, and a bin.
- Somewhere reasonable for the host to park and carry equipment in.
Venue Permission
Getting permission is the organiser's responsibility, not ours. Holiday lets, Airbnbs, apartment blocks and hotels often have their own rules about external entertainers, group sizes and alcohol-based activities.

We hold current public liability insurance, and documentation is available to venues on request if a property manager asks for it.

Three. The group chooses the three cocktails together from our menu of ten, and every guest makes all three themselves.
