First 45 minutes — guided drawing
The model poses and the host leads the group through structured exercises. Short warm-up sketches first, then longer observational poses, then a few timed challenges that keep momentum going. Nobody is expected to be good at this. The act of concentrating on something together tends to settle any awkwardness within the first few minutes, and by the time the half ends most groups are louder than when they started.
Second 45 minutes — hosted entertainment
Games, drinks service, and group photos. The model stays involved as host throughout. This is usually the loudest part of the evening — and the part that generates the photos people actually keep.
Everything arrives with the team. Drawing pads, boards, and pencils are included for every guest. You provide the venue and the people; the team handles everything else.

The space you actually need
Allow roughly 1.5 to 2 square metres of clear floor space per person, after accounting for chairs, bags, and bottles. A group of 8 to 10 people needs a decent open-plan living area. Groups of 12 or more need something larger — a separate reception room, a big lounge, or a lodge-style space where furniture can be pushed back.
Ideal setup
Guests sit in a loose semicircle facing the model’s posing area. Each person needs a chair or floor cushion, a drawing board across their lap, and enough elbow room to sketch comfortably. The model needs roughly 2 metres of clear space in front of the group — a small rug or defined area works well.
What a good room looks like before setup
Soft lighting works better than harsh overhead lights — it’s easier to draw in and sets a more relaxed atmosphere. If your venue has dimmable lights or lamps, use them.
What to move beforehand
- Coffee tables and ottomans — move them to the edges or another room
- Rugs — roll them back if the floor underneath is clear
- Extra chairs from other rooms — bring them in if you’re short
What doesn’t work

Works for smaller groups of 6 to 8. Standard hotel rooms rarely have enough clear floor space — look specifically for suites or junior suites with a separate sitting area. The Holiday Inn and Mercure Rochester both have suite options worth considering.

What if some guests are uncomfortable with a nude model?
The bow-tie-and-cuffs option is available — the model wears formal accessories rather than posing fully nude. It’s equally entertaining and just as popular. You can confirm your preference when you book, or change it up until the booking is finalised.
Can older family members join?
Yes. The format works across age groups. The host manages the room’s atmosphere, and the experience can be as understated or as boisterous as the group wants. Guests who arrive nervous almost always relax within the first ten minutes.
What if someone in the group has mobility needs?

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable, as they cover model allocation and date reservation.
Customer cancellations:
- More than 14 days before the event — full refund of any balance already paid
- 8 to 14 days — 50% refund of the remaining balance
- 7 days or fewer — no refund on the remaining balance
Rescheduling: Requests made more than 14 days before the event are usually accommodated without additional charge, subject to availability.
